Cool air over warmer water will become saturated, allowing water vapor to condense into fog. This early morning fall painting shows the result of the cool air from the previous night which created heavy fog when it met the warmer ocean. The fog obscures details of distant trees and buildings. All summer visitors have departed the area and the fog seems to exaggerate the calm and quiet.
