Box Of Leeks.

Leeks, with their mild and earthy onion flavor, are one of the garden vegetables that can withstand the onset of some cold weather. So this painting reminds me of the last few weeks of local farmer’s markets, when the gardening year is coming to a close. Oh, how I will miss buying fresh local produce over the winter!
